HSA’s Summer Dance Intensive concentrates on the health and wellness of the young dancer. The comprehensive dance class curriculum of classical ballet, modern, repertory and jazz is supplemented by instruction in anatomy, body conditioning, yoga, Pilates and nutrition.
Each day will begin with practices in body conditioning and awareness. Admission to the program will be determined through auditions. Some prior training is required, but acceptance will be based on the commitment of the student.
Auditions for the Dance Intensive will be held:
Thursday, June 17 5 PM
Saturday, June 19 12 PM
The audition process will consist of:
Ballet–45 minutes
Modern–45 minutes
Solo–2 minutes
Essay submitted on day of audition–
