Robert Lemons
Robert Lemons is a partner in the Business Finance & Restructuring Department of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. He has been involved in many of the largest bankruptcy cases of the last 10 years, including Lehman Brothers, General Motors, Delphi, Calpine, USG and Bethlehem Steel. Additionally, Mr. Lemons has guest lectured on restructuring and bankruptcy at law schools such as the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, University of Buffalo Law School, and New York Law School. He also speaks on panels and publishes on topics such as Dodd-Frank financial legislation. Mr. Lemons co-chaired the 2011 Turnaround Management Association’s Spring Conference, held in Chicago in April 2011. In 2008 and 2011, he was recognized as an "Outstanding Young Restructuring Lawyer" by Turnarounds and Workouts, an international publication for people who follow distressed companies.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors of HSA, Mr. Lemons is on the Leadership Committee of the Citizens Committee for New York City.
Mr. Lemons graduated from the New York University School of Law in 1999 and Princeton University in 1995. He currently lives in Harlem with his wife, Liz, and daughter, Astrid, who he plans to enroll at HSA when she turns 2 years old.
